Concentrated Growing Substrate
Made from:A mixture of herbaceous peat and sphagnum moss (decomposition levels H3–H6), worm castings, and coconut fiber.
Organic matter content: 28% (based on net mass).
Raw materials: 50% raised bog peat (H3–H6), coconut fiber, worm castings, perlite (0–5 mm grain size), calcium carbonate (CaCO ), magnesium-rich lime (Mg-CaCO ), and NPK 7-7-7 organic-mineral fertilizer.
pH: 7.4 (CaCl )
Salinity: 6.0 g/l (KCl method)
Plant-available (soluble) nutrients (extractable):
- Nitrogen (N): 400 mg/l (CaCl )
- Phosphate (P O ): 1,800 mg/l (CAL)
- Potassium oxide (K O): 1,200 mg/l (CAL)
- Magnesium (Mg): 900 mg/l (CaCl )
- Sulfur (S): 1,700 mg/l (CaCl )
Application aids: Perlite to improve water balance; CaCO /Mg-CaCO to adjust pH.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, protected from the elements. Reseal opened bags.
Application: Concentrated growing medium for ornamental and edible plants in pots/containers. Dilute thoroughly before use. Mix Monster Soil Concentrate 1:1 with an organic soil (e.g., organic All-Mix or Light-Mix). Example: 50 L Monster Soil Concentrate + 50 L All-Mix = 100 L ready-to-use soil.
Voluntary Information
Microorganisms (added): Mycorrhiza, Trichoderma spp., other beneficial fungi.
Biological Activity (PNP): 1,006 g PNP/g DM/h – Laboratory Assessment: Good activity.
Further recommendations for use
- Preparation: To start growing, mix Monster Soil Concentrate 1:1 with organic soil for a fully pre-fertilized substrate that’s ready to use.
- Pot Size: At least 11 liters per plant.
- Seedlings/young plants: To acclimate the plant to Monster Soil, prepare a planting hole as a buffer zone with 0.5 liters of Light Mix and plant the young plant there. Pre-grow seedlings in grow plugs.
- Irrigation: Use only chlorine-free water. No pH adjustment necessary. Water evenly, avoiding waterlogging.
- Reuse: Loosen used soil and mix 3–4 liters of fresh Monster Soil Concentrate for every 10 liters of used substrate.
